Growing a Community-Respecting our Elders

Lake Arrowhead Seniors-Off to a Great Start

In this week's exciting update, we are thrilled to share the latest developments surrounding the new Lake Arrowhead Rotary Senior Center. Our official partnership with the Rotary Club of Lake Arrowhead has reached new heights as they generously agreed to fund the establishment of the 501(c)(3) organization. Working closely with attorney Kim Rohn, a specialist in this field, we are navigating the legal formation process with confidence.

The enthusiastic gathering of our Executive Board, known as the LARSC Board, resulted in a well-thought-out plan to conduct a comprehensive needs assessment of the community. Simultaneously, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our new website, www.lakearrowheadseniors.org, which went live this afternoon! Keep a lookout for the initial phase of our assessment—the community survey—coming soon. You can conveniently access the survey on our website or pick up a copy at various shops around the community.

Notably, Joyce Patrick Eckert, President of the LARSC Board, held a productive meeting with the San Bernardino County Department on Aging to explore collaboration opportunities that can propel this project forward. Allow me to introduce our esteemed LARSC Executive Board members: President Joyce Patrick Eckert, Secretary Brendalee Harrower, Treasurer Alma Borcuk, member Laura MacFarlane Donohoo, and board member Jay Rinda. These dedicated individuals are at the forefront of driving our vision for the Lake Arrowhead community.
